The International Center for Strategic Studies and Settlement (Madras) successfully launched its "Core of the Land" initiative with a landmark first lecture at its headquarters in Bethlehem.
The inaugural session brought together a distinguished group of steadfast residents from targeted areas across the rural regions of Bethlehem Governorate, marking an important step in community education and legal awareness.
The comprehensive meeting addressed two critical topics of paramount importance to the Palestinian community:
First, the session explored the subject of war crimes, providing attendees with crucial insights into international humanitarian law and the legal framework surrounding violations in conflict zones.
Second, the lecture covered legal measures and remedies available in response to settler attacks, equipping participants with knowledge about their rights and available legal protections under international law.
The session was expertly led by Dr. Hassan Breijieh, a distinguished specialist in international law, who brought his extensive expertise to bear on these vital issues affecting communities in the region.
The "Core of the Land" initiative represents Madras Center's ongoing commitment to empowering local communities through education, legal awareness, and strategic knowledge-sharing. The success of this first lecture sets a strong foundation for future sessions planned under this important initiative.
